Natural baby powder to the rescue. I use Arrowroot powder rather than cornstarch in this recipe as it has a different texture and very few people have reactions to this.
To make your own you will need:
1 1/2 cups arrowroot powder
3 tablespoons calendula petals
3 tablespoons chamomile petals
Lavender and Chamomile essential oils.
In a coffee grinder, grind the flower powders fine until they resemble powder. Gently whisk in the arrowroot powder. Add to this 15 drops of Lavender and 15 drops Chamomile Essential Oils. I find the best container to put the powder into is the spice jars from the Dollar Store. Remove the spice lid, fill and replace lid. Store in a dry area of your home to avoid clumping. Use on baby bums to keep dry or for your own personal use to absorb excess dampness. It's really quite simple! Stores for up to 2 years.
