Hair is mildly acidic which is close to the same pH of apple cider vinegar. Most products that are store bought such as shampoos, bleaches and hair colourant are alkaline.
When you rinse with apple cider vinegar it will help to balance the pH of your hair as well as remove any product build up. Your hair will be left shinier, smoother and easier to manage. To make the rinse add 1/2 cup of APV with 1 liter of water. Apply the vinegar rinse after you shampoo your hair and then rinse out.
You will have a slight vinegar smell left on your hair (yes, you may smell a little like a salad dressing). However as your hair dries the smell will disappear. You can use Apple Cider Vinegar on your hair once or twice per week or more often if required.
