Preheat your oven to 200F.
In a mixer blend 1/2 cup almonds until it becomes almond meal
Add to this 1 1/2 cups flaked coconut and blend again until the mixture is fine.
In a separate bowl melt:
4 Tablespoons coconut oil
4 Tablespoons maple syrup
1 tsp vanilla
2 Tablespoons Nutella
Mix the coconut almond mixture with the liquid and stir until evenly coated. Add in 1/2 cup chocolate chips if desired. Press into an 8X8 ungreased pan and cook 5 minutes at 200F. Turn off the oven and allow to "cook" for another 15 minutes. Cut into squares while still warm. Allow to completely cool and serve!
