When you feel frantic and out of breath that is when focus really matters. It is more about reducing the clutter and noise and letting go of the unnecessary. As Confucius said "Life is really simple, but we insist on making it complicated."
It’s not always easy, and takes daily practice but the rewards are worth it. A huge bouquet of flowers artfully arranged can bring much joy however a small bouquet I find can bring just as much pleasure.
Out in my garden last night, I found my zinnia's starting to bloom. There were very few ready but in the spirit of simple I decided to make a small arrangement for my kitchen windowsill. Looking at them brings me happiness. It reminds me to remain uncomplicated in my day.
The handblown blue vase I picked up years ago at a flea market and seemed to be the perfect match for the zinnia's. So remember that simple can be beautiful and more is not always necessary.
